• @drst Good for you on getting the books into the hands of someone who maybe keep them in circulation. I would guess that Russian Literature are not easy to come by . Probably not an influx of people taking those classes either.
For those of you who use Auctiva remember:::Auctiva will be down for scheduled maintenance between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. PST, October 9.

  • @drst Do those books have ISBN numbers. Or in some cases an ASIN. If no ISBN you'll have to search by author and title. Yiou can use either an ISBN or ASIN to list them on Amazon one book at a time . Amazon charges 99 cents if the book sells. Don't know the real particulars but try searching Amazon for that ISBN . When you find it I think there is a 'Want to sell yours?" and off you go.

  • @drst Don't be too hasty about disposing of the Russian Literature books. Perhaps a book store would pick them up. Or try selling a batch here on ebay. The English titles are probably there and it will help if you know them . Helen in Indy

  • GOOG EVENING PEEPS! Lovely day in S. CA! It's going to continue to be in the low 70's for the weekend. I'll take it! ; )
I went to my fave dentist (honest!) today and had root canal work done. NEVER an ounce of pain with him...never. Not sure he can save the tooth, but has a referral to an inexpensive Implant doc. Life is goog. (everthinkyoudhearinexpensiveandimplantinthesamesentence????;)

I did some overgrown bush pruning yesterday. Sorta looked like a very tall and leggy yellow margarite. Only 18" now. Cats were using it to hide from the birds at the feeders and then attack. You should have seen me crawling on elbows and belly under the table in my robe yesterday morning to get a squealing bird away from Fat Louie! And the bird, finch, came around and took flight when I got him back outside. Yes!!

DOREEN.... @Doreen366ML I kept looking in your current auctions...duh. I think that 'beatnik' was the perfect name for your old ash tray. The goatee and dress was before hippies, ay?! Beatnik
I love the clock! I think Roy Rogers was my first crush when I was a kid. I had his metal lunch box even tho I was a girl. : ) If we weren't trying to get EVERYTHING for ebay out of the house like you are, I would have been tempted to buy it. ( Clock )
BTW, DH and I 'are' finally making great strides to getting everything outside into storage buildings. Yaaaayyyyy......!
I hope your daughter gets to join the golf team. : )

MAXIE.... @inmax TY! Yup, that flower is sooo purty! Wish I'da grown it. 😉 Once we get the 'stuff' outa our house, and I finish with MOM's house and taxes, I'll still be busy (aren't we all?!?!) but not crazy busy like the past years. Can't wait!! : )
I put a link to the Beatnik DOREEN sold in her post for ya.
DORIS-SBIT is vacationing somewhere warm (Bermuda? I think?) with BIGFOOT. I don't know if she'll be able to come back to posting, as she says it was getting too confusing for her to follow. Perhaps when she sees that this board is as slow as the AC a while back, she'll be able to poop in once in awhile. She's such a GrandE lady!

DORI....(you like that name better'n TUTU?) @drst Remind me to tell you the tale of our stove/oven. I'm getting too tired to ramble much more today, but I must share it with yawl. Too unfunny!
Tell us about your new kitchen please. I'd love to hear what it went from and turned into!

JUDY.... @picker16judy OK, what is Swamp People?? If it's sci-fi I'm prolly game!! : )
I'm looking forward to a time when I can go to GW or Sal. Army to look for 'stuff'. I must continue to keep that under control for quite awhile tho, since we have sooo much here and more in the trailer to unpack from FONDY some day. Yikes!! Sure hard to fight the 'thrift bug'. LOL!

Time to stop for now. I love how we can click on any name and read all the past posts! It will make it so much easier to catch up when necessary. (likemenow;)
Wishing alla youse a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, since I was not really able to post much during that time. I might as well add Happy Groundhogs Day, too! LOL! (I would have been MOM's 95th bday, but I think she's happier now where she is.;)

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
    Speak kindly.
    Leave the rest to God.
    ALLIE.... : )
