• Good Afternoon Everyone,

Doris, How kind of you to say. We defiantly have our hands full at times but are truly blessed with Justyn's great personality. He keeps us laughing more than he has us in tears. He really is a great kid.
I decided to try a darker color. Went with darkgreen. Hope that's one of the colors.
A 1000 listings for free. Guess I missed out on that one. Haven't sold anything for months on obey. I need to get my photo's improved before I sell again. I used to use a QX3 kids computer microscope. Then our computer crashed and the software wouldn't work with Windows 7. It's been out of production for years so there's no driver updates available on-line to download. I just bought something I'm hoping will replace it that I got from Hong Kong. We'll see? May take a month to ship?
Max, you know that Amy's dream in life is to drive in Smash-up derby's Good luck with that road trip…LOL.

  • My wife and I are raising our 13 yr old Grandson that has autism. His name is Justyn and he gets medicaid benefits and we have to fill out reviews for his case every so often. My wife had the review filled out except for some of our financial info so I told her to leave it on the kitchen table and I would finish it up. When I went in the kitchen Justyn had it all ripped up and had been eating key parts of the review. I felt so embarassed calling to get a new form because my kid ate the last one..............

  • Good Afternoon Everyone,
How the heck are ya MD?
Sounds like a road trip to Lou's. How fun….LOL.
Max- It's funny how some things start to stick out after some one tells you how special they are. I never even new Pez dispensers were collectable until I came across Pez. And I just learned that something I use on a daily basis could be collectable? ( Carpenters Pencils).
And don't even get me started on the time change fiasco.
Looks like tonight's NFL game may be the most exciting game this week. Some real sleepers today.
Oh, and I went to Golden Corral yesterday. Best buffet in town. JMHO.
Amy-That's what Halloween means to me. CANDY !!! My boy didn't want to go Trick-or-Treating this year so I didn't even get to raid his candy. He's 13 this year, so about too old for it anyway.

  • OOOPs again. I meant you Doris.

  • Max, this was by far ,the best turnout we've had for Halloween in the 10 years we've lived in Salt Lake. I have no idea what the difference was this year. We usually get a few but not many. This year was a steady stream of the little monsters.
Glad I bought a ton of candy.
Sad I still didn't have leftovers 🙁 LOL

  • CARP.....UGH, That should be South of DENVER, CO.

  • That should be SOUTH of Colorado. (my geography checker must be on the blink) LOL

  • Good Morning Everyone,
Hi Doreen. Good to see you.
Max, I've been having issues with obey (stolen from Pez) the last week or so with searches. I'll have to give it a shot later. I miss Pez. He was a good guy. Sigh. Anyway, I know what you mean about the Colts, since I'm a Cards fan myself. I adopted the Texans this season to keep me interested in the games.
Judy, I had a friend at work that was a super huge Steelers fan. She always bought all of their merchandise and would empty out the novelty coin things to get a Steelers version. She would give me Cardinal and Titan items that she didn't want. Little things that fit in those machines like stickers, mini helmets, and miniature coffee cups, my favorite. I like watching the Steelers play and will root for them if their not up against the Titans or Cards.
Lou, You sound like you're keeping yourself busy. That's great! We got snow overnight in SLC, so if you haven't gotten any, it's probably on it's way. ( not sure it'll be snow North of Colorado?)

  • Hi Lou, Looks like it worked finally. Looks nice. Is that what you're selling?

    Good Morning Everyone,
I got my kid to the dentist on Friday and worked yesterday. He had no cavities and a great check up. His pain was new teeth coming in. It's too bad they have to sedate him to find that out. They did do a good cleaning and current x-rays though. Something that needs to happen every 12 to 18 months.
Good to see Alley has found her way over. Nice cat pic Allie. I have to laugh at your ineptness at posting. It reminds me of the chatroom when you were the expert and Amy, Cedar, Lou, and myself were making total fools of ourselves……….LOL.
Max, I never even new there was such a thing as collectable carpenter pencils. They seem to be hard to come by around here so I always bought a dozen or so when I'd come across them. Used them a lot at work and would share them with the other guys there. Now they have those pencils that has like 12 different tips and when one tip runs out you take it out and push it into the top of the pencil to force a new one out.
Judy, you got that right about the dental pain. I have some of the worst teeth on earth. About 20 yrs ago (I was early 30's) I tried to find a dentist that would just pull all of my teeth and get me dentures. They don't want to do that. They would rather keep replacing fillings and caps. My mom was from a large family that none of her brothers or sisters had their natural teeth past their early 20's.
I just went through a tooth ache I got about a month or month and half ago. It went from a bottom tooth and spread to my top tooth right above it. When I finally went in to get it pulled out, the bottom tooth was the only bad tooth. The dentist said there is a nerve that forks to both teeth and when he pulled my bottom tooth, they both quit hurting. Now I'm looking at getting posts put in but that's going to cost a small fortune? Maybe someday soon, Who knows.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I haven't checked in for a while because things are so hectic at work and home. At work, we're moving two plants into one building. Talk about crowded. Oh well, it pays the bills. I'm on my way to work now but have a couple of minutes before I have to go.
My boy with autism has been having a tooth ache recently. My wife woke up the other morning and went into the bathroom to find 10 or 12 bandages had been opened up. Justyn finally told us "Are you O.K.?". His way of telling us he hurts somewhere. Finally figured out his mouth was bothering him and got him to a dentist yesterday. NO way he would let them get x-rays. He will go in Friday and get an anesthesia to knock him out. That's the only way we have ever been able to get any dental work done on him.
Speaking of snow, it looks like Lou could be in for some today if she's still in Co.

    Hi Everyone,
I see some new people joining in. That's great.
For those that don't know me, I'm a regular on the coin chat at ebay. Got fed up with that and started visiting other chat rooms and found the greatest bunch of peeps in the A/C room. I finally went back to coin chat but still think the A/C was the best there was. I have some old things but not really a collection of anything.

Judy, what part of Ohio are you from and what's this about the hair-cutting Amish? I used to work with some of the Amish when I was training to work for KraftMaid cabinets a few years back. Must be 5 or 6 years ago now. It was back when the Amish school was attacked. I spent a few months in Ohio and really liked it there.

  • Cedar, the closing was the "official" announcement posted at the top of the ebay chatrooms. Less than a week left?
Glad you like your floors. What's next?.......It's always something, Right???

  • Good Morning Everyone!
A little joke to start your day off:

    Senior Citizen Birth
It was hailed as a medical breakthrough in fertility treatments when a 68-year-old womanwas able to give birth.
When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, a crowd of neighbors and relatives came to visit.
"May we see the new baby?" one asked.
"Not yet," said the mother. "I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first."
Thirty minutes had passed, and another visitor asked, "May we see the new baby now?"
"No, not yet," said the mother.
After another few minutes had elapsed, they asked again, "May we see the baby now?"
"No, not yet," replied the mother.
Growing very impatient, they asked, "Well, when can we see the baby?"
"When he cries!" she told them.
"When he cries?" they demanded. "Why do we have to wait until he cries?"
"Because," she said. "I forgot where I put him, OK?!"

    Hi Everyone,
Not much going on in SLC these days. We did a get a pretty good storm that brought snow to the mountains. We went from record highs to start the week to snow to end it.

Max, I never heard of those pies. Where do you live? BTW, I can relate to the hubby and the candy. That's the best part of Cracker Barrel in my opinion…LOL.

Lou, Why do you think Kansas might be calling your name? Do you have family there?

Cedar, I'm wondering how you're liking your new floors? I'd like to get new floors and new kitchen cabinets. Mine are falling apart but with reduced hrs at work, I'm doing good just to pay the bills.

A big hello to Doris, Beach, Mim, and any others I missed. Hope everyone is hanging in there and preparing for "WINTER"…….Yuk……….!!!

Good to see ya Lou. How's the wildlife these days? (No, I'm not getting personal, I'm wondering about your fowl)….LOL

MIM, My wife has to do that fasting 3 or 4 times a year for Dr visits. Drives her crazy. I don't generally eat until dinner time, so that has never bothered me.

Judy and Max - Enough with the Christmas trees already. Let us at least get through Halloween…….J/K………..LOL I think it's great you enjoy the holidays enough to start early.

Hi Beach, Good to see ya! Cute Avatar.
Judy- You're too cute as a kid…Everyone has such nice avatars. Makes me feel like a weenie. I can't think of what else to be though……….LOL

  • Hi everyone,
Max, Great news that you're out of the woods on that infection.
I'm wondering where all the creative posts have gone? You folks used to have some of the most colorful chat with great pics.

Just seeing if this works. I haven't played with HTML forever.

Judy, I don't have the recipie for the cukes. I've never made them myself. I thought you just slice cucumbers and onoins and cover in a bowl with vinegar? It's probably more complicated than that. And what's this talk about Christmas trees already...LOL

Cedar, Next time some one emails me "The People of Wal Mart" pictures, I'll try to see if I can spot you in your PJ's.....

  • Looks like everyone pulled through another 9/11, unscathed. Nice to see folks starting to post here. I've never heard of fried corn, but fried anything is worth trying...LOL
MD, I haven't had cukes onions & vinigar in many moons. When I was young, my grandma used to fix them. I think they would marinate in the fridge for a couple of days. Great flavor experience.

  • Hi Folks,
I came across the cartoonist remember 9/11 and wanted to share. If you scroll down to the comics, you can click on the 1st box and read them all at your own pace or click on the comic when you've read it and it will close and you can choose another one you want to look at. Enjoy !!!

    About

  • Hi everyone,
just getting ready to head out for the weekend. I collect coins. Mostly errors.
Baglady, what do you look for in a thimble?
Cedar, I had a hard time with the picture thingy until I "carefully" read the "How To" Manual..Hint Hint!

  • Dick, I found a simular clock that sold as slightly defective for $550 and claims a $1200 value in working condition.

Hi Folks, Good to see ya!
How's the auction biz going Wilbur? Do all these reality shows have any effect on how people buy?
Jsan- I am not ready for Fall yet. That's just because I know Winter will follow before you know it….LOL.
Cedar-We don't do Ocra around Utah that I know of. Visited a Steakhouse in TN about 10 yrs ago before I had ever even seen it. My wife grew up in the mid-west and south, so she was familiar with it. I wasn't overly impressed with it myself.
Doris2- Glad you made your way in. I had a hard time but finally caved in and read the instructions also………LOL

  • Good Day to all my friends from ebay. I just had to follow you here. The people on the A/C board are the Greatest!
